Rep Partnership - Town Hall Meeting Registration

Members of both SMHA & EMHA,

Thank you for taking the time to follow the news about the partnership between SMHA & EMHA.

The selected committee representing both SMHA & EMHA have made the commitment for developing a program for ALL players. The focus will not be just the representative player that we will be looking at. We have made the commitment to work together developing an improved Rep / Local League / Initiation program.

During our committee discussions with feedback from our boards, we agreed to put our players Development First at all levels. This is not a new idea, and both Centers have tried different things in the past, we are taking a look at both centers and picking what has worked in the past and improving on it.

  • Combining the Rep program will allow both centers more ice for Local League, novice pathway and IP / Preschool.
  • Combining the rep program will allow more options for team structure, i.e. if we have adequate numbers in an age group, we could add an additional AE team allowing more Rep options.
  • The addition of select teams in both EMHA and SMHA, will allow for players extra practice and games.
  • The addition of skill development where EMHA and SMHA will be using outside skill development instruction.

Yes, there will be a lot of changes and most of those changes will be affecting the Representative program, which will need a new name, logo & new combined board representing Rep hockey. However, there will be less impact to the majority of our memberships, as EMHA & SMHA boards will continue to represent their members of each organization at the Local level.

To participate, please register for the our Town Hall on March 31st at 6:30 pm

When: Mar 31, 2021 06:30 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)
